Event hosts Smiths and Stinsons arrived in Albuquerque just hours ahead of the group and were busy spotting the ATC tent and making last–minute confirmation of arrangements as they prepared for eleven days of serving early morning breakfasts and escorting the group on tours that included Acoma Sky City and Santa Fe. Afternoon socials in the ATC tent, shopping expeditions, a guest appearance on a local, live, pre–dawn TV show from the Fiesta Field for some Half Hitchers, and no–host gatherings at places like Murphy’s Mule Barn Restaurant highlighted the list of activities that occupied the hours after the spectacular balloon ascensions in the dawn's early light.
FALL LEAF FESTIVAL – Leavenworth, Washington

And, as always, the unique festivities of the Festival in Leavenworth were at the heart of the daily excursions that included a bus tour with a stop at the Court House in Waterville, lunch, and the Rocky Reach Dam at Wenatchee; a hike on the beautiful mountains; besides the Lions Club breakfast and Festival parade.
