The Echo

It’s here!  We mean it is REALLY here!  After months of hard work and weeks of promises that it was “just around the corner” we are very proud to present the new edition of the ECHO in full color!  And with the presentation we extend to its creator, Jerry Millspaugh, our deepest appreciation for not only coming to us with his vision of what COULD be done but for sticking with it and with us until it GOT done!  And it got done beautifully!!!  We also extend kudos to Cliff Hansen and Sandy McHale for their editing and proofing skills and all of the contributing writers and reporters who stood by patiently and continued to send in material (even though some of that material is backlogged and will be caught up in the next issue.) on the promise that the ECHO would return.  If you are a current member of the ATC and did not receive the link address to the ECHO, please contact us at AlpenliteC@aol.com.  If you are not a member of the ATC, and are interested in viewing a sample of our publication, please click here and complete the form. Election Results

With 50+ percent of members casting votes the ATC announces an overwhelming positive vote to extend membership in what once was a brand-specific RV club to an adult oriented RV travel club welcoming owners of non-WRV product owners to the organization.  For membership information e-mail us at AlpenliteC@aol.com.

The ATC operates with a nine member board of directors serving three-year terms and elected by the members in an annual election.  Ballots have been counted and we welcome the return of incumbents Cliff Hansen and Ron McCafferty back as well as new board members Jerry Millspaugh, Russ Robinson and Mike Tarkon.  These five members will join current board members Sandi Butterworth, Dick Duyck, Susan Goudge, and Al Maza.

Dometic RECALL NOTICE -- Dometic Voluntarily Expands Refrigerator Recall

Dometic recently expanded their recall on some two-door refrigerators.  The original recall included two-door refrigerators manufactured between April 1997 and May 2003.  This expansion of the recall includes two-door refrigerators manufactured between June 2003 and September 2006.  To find out if your refrigerator is in this recall, you can visit the Dometic website and enter the model and 8-digit serial number of your Dometic refrigerator.  You may also contact Dometic by phone at 800-544-4881.

WRV Closes - Alpenlite Travel Club Goes Forward With Plans For Scheduled Events!

WRV has closed its doors and has suspended operations.  The first obvious question for our members is just what this means to the Alpenlite Travel Club.  Let us assure you that the ATC is continuing to do business as usual.  No events on our calendar are affected and all Regional Rallies, Alpenfest, Fiddler Rally, Seafood Caravan, Balloon Fiesta Rally, and Fall Leaf Festival will be put on as scheduled.  The ATC operates, is incorporated, and is insured separate from WRV thus their closure does not impact our day to day operations.  However, this does mean the loss of a substantial amount of our income in the dues-support matching dollars of membership dues that the ATC received from WRV.  This has an immediate impact on the ATC and will be the key topic of discussion at the annual meeting at Alpenfest.  This issue has the full attention of the board which is working to develop and outline ideas and address a plan.
